Extra curricular

Enrichment

At The Cowplain School, we are proud to offer a broad and exciting Enrichment Programme. We encourage our students to take part in a wide range of both academic and sporting activities and to fully engage with the life of our school.

The Enrichment Programme can be found in Resources.

Music Lessons

We are committed to providing music lessons for any student who wishes to learn or develop their skills. Mrs Dobbyn, our Head of Music, arranges for specialist music teachers to visit the school and has a comprehensive list of the lessons available.

Students studying GCSE music receive specialist tuition for singing lessons or one instrument at no cost as we consider this an important part of the GCSE course. Students who wish to study an additional instrument will be required to pay 50% of the cost, the remainder will be funded by the school.

Students not taking GCSE music will be required to pay 50% of the cost; those in receipt of Free School Meals will have the costs covered by the school.

We believe this provides an appropriate balance between parents supporting their child's talents and the school further supporting them by contributing half the cost.
