We would like to congratulate our 2026 GCSE students on achieving excellent results for The Cowplain School.
In English, 74% of students achieved a Grade 4 or above in either English or English Literature, with almost 70% achieving a Grade 4 in Maths. Over 60% of students achieved Grade 4s in both subjects. Other subjects achieving excellent results included Spanish, in which over 80% of students achieved a Grade 4, and the performing arts, with Music, Drama and Dance all achieving 70%+, as did GCSE Sport.
In total, students at Cowplain achieved a huge number of the highest grades, with 34 x Grade 9s, 37 x Grade 8s and 93 x Grade 7s.
Standout results for individual students included WH, with 9 x Grade 9s and 1 x Grade 8, and OB, 7 x Grade 9s, 1 x Grade 7, 1 x Grade 6, with many other students achieving incredible results.
There were many more students who achieved outstanding GCSE results, who we will report on soon, so huge congratulations to the class of 2026 on their success in achieving those exceptional results.
